New Mexico Rainforest University Center Spring Seminar Series

UNM Rainforest Innovations and the Innovation Academy are hosting their spring 2022 University Center Webinar series. The New Mexico Rainforest University Center provides entrepreneurial training and technical assistance at the University of New Mexico main and branch campuses. The webinars are free and open to the UNM community and the public via web access, but registration is required. A certificate program in entrepreneurial capabilities is available to UNM students and community members thru UNM’s Innovation Academy. Basic Bookkeeping and Financial Literacy for Entrepreneurs

Attend this hour-long webinar to learn the essential skills of bookkeeping and financial literacy for you and your small business from UNM-Gallup Mentor and finance professional, Mytegia Lee.

Speaker Bio:

Mytegia Lee is the Executive Director of the Southwest Native Assets Coalition (SNAC). Prior to joining SNAC she worked in the commercial banking and financing services industry providing credit analysis, financial education as well as small dollar loan origination and servicing throughout western New Mexico. Her diligence, attention to detail, commitment to customer service reflect her sincere interest in helping rural households secure optimal economic outcomes. Prior to working in the financial services industry, Ms. Lee worked as a social services liaison for the Eastern Agency of the Navajo Nation providing community members access to burial assistance, low-income home energy assistance, and other emergency funding. Ms. Lee is bi-lingual, a skilled silversmith and rancher and mother of three. Ms. Lee is from the community of Manuelito and is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation.

About the New Mexico Rainforest University Center

The University Center program is funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration to provide entrepreneurial training and technical assistance to individuals or small businesses who are looking to start or grow their idea. The platform for the training will be e-commerce, designed to assist any business with its digital presence. The New Mexico Rainforest University Center provides entrepreneurial training and technical assistance at the University of New Mexico main and branch campuses. The webinars are free and open to the UNM community and the public via in person or web access, but registration is required. A certificate program in entrepreneurial capabilities is available to UNM students and community members thru UNM’s Innovation Academy.
