New Mexico Rainforest University Center Spring Seminar Series

UNM Rainforest Innovations and the Innovation Academy are hosting their spring 2022 University Center seminar/webinar series. The New Mexico Rainforest University Center provides entrepreneurial training and technical assistance at the University of New Mexico main and branch campuses. The seminars/webinars are free and open to the UNM community and the public via in-person and/or web access, but registration is required. A certificate program in entrepreneurial capabilities is available to UNM students and community members thru UNM’s Innovation Academy. Sales Tips for Small Business

In this seminar/webinar you will learn:

  1. How to identify your target market and develop an ideal sales prospect’s profile
  2. How to meet your ideal sales prospects. Tips for cold calling and building a referral base
  3. Tips for handling the top 10 sales objections, listening for “closing statements” and closing the sale
  4. Best practices for in person or online sales presentations
  5. Review of the top three sales management software and database programs (i.e., ACT, Goldmine, and Sales Force), pluses and minuses, and how to implement a sales system
  6. Follow-Up, the most important step in the sales process… including a review of some creative ideas for be your customer’s first choice

Speaker Bio:

stacy saccoFor the past 20 years, Mr. Stacy Sacco has taught entrepreneurial studies at the UNM Anderson School of Management, and served as the Director of the UNM Small Business Institute.

Stacy previously held senior marketing management positions at several Fortune 500 companies in Orange County, Calif., for over 20 years, and locally, at the CNM Workforce Training Center, Kirtland Federal Credit Union and the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. Stacy holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a bachelor’s in marketing from the University of Arizona, and toured two years with the global leadership program Up With People.

He currently is the President of Sacco Connections, a management consulting firm, and hosts a free, informational website, with 3,000+ links to local jobs, events and resources.

About the New Mexico Rainforest University Center

The University Center program is funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration to provide entrepreneurial training and technical assistance to individuals or small businesses who are looking to start or grow their idea. The platform for the training will be e-commerce, designed to assist any business with its digital presence. The New Mexico Rainforest University Center provides entrepreneurial training and technical assistance at the University of New Mexico main and branch campuses. The webinars are free and open to the UNM community and the public via in person or web access, but registration is required.
